The Dalai Lama is a leader for the Buddhist religion. He is considered as the main ‘God’ or leader is a powerful spokesman for Tibet. Tibetan Buddhists believe him to be the 14th reincarnation of the original Dalai Lama, a spiritual leader. As a political leader of Tibet, the Dalai Lama is known as a man of peace.

2.) Evaluate how the actions of the Dalai Lama in regard to the riots in Tibet would be regarded as exemplary moral integrity.

The actions of the Dalai Lama in regards to the riots in Tibet would be regarded as exemplary moral integrity because he trys to protest against the leaders about the independence of Tibet without anyone getting hurt. Even so, riots have gotten out of hand and atl east 99 people have been killed in China. The Dalai Lama said that events were out of his control in Tibet he will resign if violence in his homeland worsens.

I think moral intergrity is one person’s ability to conduct decisions based on one’s moral beliefs. A judgment that regardless of the final outcome will be based entirely on what they think is right or wrong.

Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of great moral integrity. This was because of the torture he suffered during his time in Auschwitz. During this time he was ordered to do lots of manual labor such as moving heavy logs and dead bodies. Throughout this time, Maximillian Kolbe comforted his peers and inmates, preaching to them about God.

As a priest, Maximillian Kolbe continued as a priest and heard the confessions of the prisoners. He also held Masses under the watchful eye of the German guards. This was regarded as highly dangerous because anyone who was found doing so would be tortured and taken to prison. During the time he spent in Auschwitz someone had escaped. This meant that ten men were chosen to die, one of which had a family and children, Kolbe begged and pleaded the soldiers so that he could swap places with this man.  After Maximilian’s convincing, he swapped places with the man. The chosen men had to starve to death and Kobe was one of the final four to die. In the end Maximillian Kolbe was injected so that he would die faster.

I think Maximillian Kolbe had strong moral beliefs. The bible contains many passages where Jesus sacrificed himself for us so that we could be forgiven. In the same way, Maximilian Kobe sacrificed himself in place of the man so that he could see his family again, something that would of required lots of courage and mental strength to do.

for practical today we did a test on common indicators. We tested our indicators on distilled water, HCL and sodium. Mltiple indicators were used and they had to recored the results for each test. This became an annoying task because we only had three test tubes so i had to wash them every half a minute.

I am starting to feel the pressure to get everything done.  I currently have 3-4 subjects that have work due by the end of this week…

Our test was today. many of the questions were based on Hypothesis, Equipment, Question, Variables and Discussion. A log of what happened was shown and we had to write up our own reports. They had given us the us the names of the person the foot size and also the distance they jumped. The whole report writing test took for about an hour.

Today we received the results for our (Corrosion) practicals. I was surprised because i had forgotten about them. I knew then ails would corrode but not as obvious as the ones in oil. Some nails were normal while others started to rust. I am interested in this experiment and look forward to seeing future changes to the experiment.

today the class were told to complete two experiments within their groups. One was based on combustion and the other on decomposition. We had to burn magnesium and record the results. I found the decomposition experiment a little difficult because we had to re-read the instructions and try to get the desired results. Overall I had enjoyed the lesson of today.

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

In this situation i would try to help the man if i could. Also, i would call the police and tell them what is happening. The police could tell me some important information and tell me what to do next.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

At first i would try to change the subject to something distracting. This could probably let them forget about the riot. Also, i would propose something else we could do instead. This might disttract or delay them.

The concience is often described as someone inside you that determines your decisions. Sometimes the concience is depicted as a devil or angel above the person. A person’s concience works in making moral decisions because they are affected by the person’s culture of religious backgrounds.

A person’s decision can be affected depending on their religion and cultural background.
