Journal 1:

During this term i hope to be able to speak in front of a large crowd with great confidence. I also want to improve my researching and computer skills. During my projects, i would like to make some more friends and develop better relationships inside the classroom. I also want to stay organized and hope i won’t let my team down.

Journal 2:

Today I’ve learnt that trust is very important. I learnt key terms such as trust. Trust and teamwork is important because it helps us accomplish something quicker or better. In PBL i hope to improve my listening, writing, speaking, teamwork & organizations skills.

Journal 3:

Today i hope we play the trusting game again. I also want to learn more about geography and get allocated our teams today. Through PBL, i hope to achieve top marks. i will try my best today.

Journal 4:

Today we were allocated our teams. Some people were working while others weren’t. I think it will be hard for us to finish our project. I have had a small understanding of the members of our group and started to know them better. They are Jamie, James, Jonathan, Mitchell and me.

Journal 5:

Today our teachers gave us an idea of what we’re going to be working on for the next 5 weeks. I feel that during our project, some people in our group will be pulling our team’s marks down. I also learnt that teamwork is VITAL in social studies.

Journal 6:

Today one of our members started the lesson and showed us some books he borrowed from the school library. I think this will greatly help our team and encourage others to put in an effort too. We should use the books to its fullest potential and start reading them soon. Today is the first day we have started our projects and i hope things will run smoothly. today’s ideas and brainstorming affect our final presentation.

Journal 7:

We were allocated subjects today. I have started researching the constitution and are slowly progressing through. I feel that we need to work together and try to finish all our unassigned topics. Things such as the contract list and need to know list can help our group.

Journal 8:

Today, i feel that members in our group aren’t working. Some are getting distracted quickly. This is probably due to the lack of interest they have within the group. As the liaison officer, i feel that i need to try and get members of the group motivated. If we do not fix theres problems we may fail to complete our project before the due date.

Journal 9:

Today, a significant moment in indigenous history occured when Kevin Rudd apologized to the Stolen Generation. He said sorry to the aboriginals and asked for forgiveness. This can be used as supplementary material because it strongly relates to the aboriginals and gives us a stronger understanding of them. My aim for this lesson is to learn about the Stolen Generation and the history of the Abooriginals.
