 How is your research going?

I think my research is progressing slowly. I may need to make some more research regarding the Australian history and the encyclopedia of britanica.

2. What do you know about imovie? What other multimedia possibilities have you considered for your presentation?

I know a little bit about imovie. I know basic imovie techniques and i am able to use it at a basic level. I think more investigation is nescessary.

If the Australian government banned the internet i would lose a lot of information at hand. I would find it had to complete assessments and work allocated by teachers. I would also find it hard to communitcate to other people far away. This is an issue because it would affect the way people do their work.

March 19, 2008 at 9:31 am (Social Studies - Encyclopaedia Britannica Entry)

Today we were given our project breifcase. There was a video introducing the project which had some teachers acting out a video aimed at year 9. We had to rewrite some parts of the Brittanica or Encyclopaedia with our own knowledge through the next 5 weeks.

I think this can be challenging and hard to complete because of the size of an encyclopaedia. Organization and teawork is important in this group.

Today we were allocated our groups. In my group there is Itai, Emanuel, Hamish and Jason. I think that we may do alright if we stay organized.

We have started allocating the group roles and i am the liasion officer. I will need to keep the group motivated and try to stay organized so that we can finish our project before the due date.

In summary, our 2nd project will be mainly focusing on chemical reactions and safety in the lab. We will need to provide information on certain procedures to prevent any accidents.

I feel that i may do better in this project than the one before because we are trying to keep ahead and stay organized. I also find this project more interesting compared to the previous one.

In today’s class we will be doing experiments reguarding chemical reactions. Corrosion and precipitation experiments will be conducted to record down some results

What changes/improvements would you make to this project?

In my project i would try to change the board game and give it some more colour and add harder questions. I will also try to provide some information background on the hsitory of the periodic table.

Favourite Project-why?

My favourite project would be the project done in Steven Zeater’s group. I think their project contained lots of important information and was constructed as a web site. It also has a trivia section and provides a easy and streamlined list of the first 20 elements.

How can you improve on your presentation skills in the next project.

In this project, i would choose to start the project earlier and make more research. I think its also important to allocate work among the groups and get them done before due dates.

Who in your opinion had good presentation skills? why?

In my opinion, i think John Lahoud had good presentaion skills. He proejcted his voice to the back and didn’t talk too fast. He also showed confidence and knew what he was tlaking about.
